Chris Harvey
Role and Responsibilities
As the Security and EMT Supervisor at Meadow Ridge, Chris Harvey plays an essential role in upholding the well-being and safety of our community. Beyond providing emergency care when needed, Chris fosters a secure environment through diligent practices such as securing doors, monitoring outdoor lighting, setting residential indicators and conducting radio checks.
Industry Expertise
Chris relocated to Connecticut from New Mexico, where he worked as a senior caregiver, then as a firefighter at the Los Lunas Fire Department where he was first introduced to EMS. He continued caregiving in Connecticut and maintains his EMT license.
Passion for Senior Care
Chris shares, “We all grew up with grandparents or family friends—elders we were taught to respect and care for. At the time, I didn’t see caregiving as something I could do, but I realized it’s all about problem-solving and finding solutions. It opened my eyes to understanding what my own parents will go through. When my aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, I was able to help her by applying the skills I learned.”
Leadership Philosophy
Chris’s leadership philosophy is rooted in the lessons he learned from his time in the Fire Department and from his mentor, a lieutenant who emphasized approaching situations with understanding and patience. He strives to lead with C.A.R.E.—encouraging Communication, Accountability, Responsibility and Efficiency—while fostering structure to ensure these values remain integral to the work environment. At Meadow Ridge, he is dedicated to maintaining a community where residents always feel supported, no matter the situation.
Personal Interests
When Chris isn’t working, he’s out making memories with his family—whether it’s exploring Renaissance fairs, apple picking, visiting family in Brooklyn, or having fun at Legoland with his child.
