Role and Responsibilities
In her role as Ridge Crest’s admissions nurse, Daneen Capozziello focuses on bringing in new patients and establishing relationships with hospital case managers. Daneen ensures that residents and their families feel cared for and satisfied during their stay at Ridge Crest, fostering a sense of comfort and support throughout their journey.
The best part of the job, she says, is establishing relationships with residents and families, helping them “navigate an often-unfamiliar setting and facilitate the best recovery and transition possible.”
Industry Expertise
Daneen has served in various roles in our community, including as a charge nurse, supervisor and wound nurse. Prior to her time at Ridge Crest, she gained valuable experience at another short-term rehabilitation community. These diverse roles have uniquely prepared her for the compassionate and attentive care she provides today.
Passion for Senior Care
With a background as a long-time care nurse and supervisor, Daneen’s understanding of day-to-day operations enables her to effectively communicate with incoming residents about their expectations during their stay. Her passion for geriatrics blossomed while working at another short-term rehabilitation community, ultimately leading her to Ridge Crest.
Career Journey
She joined Ridge Crest in 2018 as a charge nurse, supervisor and wound nurse before transitioning into her current role as Admissions Nurse in 2019. Transitioning into the role of admissions nurse marks a significant milestone in Daneen’s career journey.
Milestones
Daneen graduated as an LPN from Lincoln Technical Institute in 2011 and has since dedicated herself to the field of geriatrics.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Daneen enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, as well as indulging in her love for shopping.
