Redding, Conn. – Meadow Ridge, a Benchmark continuing care retirement community, recently received a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which provides health coverage to more than 100 million people.

As part of the Department of Health and Human Services, CMS evaluates a community’s performance based on results from health inspections, staffing levels, and quality measures. Each community receives a star rating for each of these areas, as well as an overall rating, with 1 being the lowest score and 5 being the highest score.

“It’s an honor to receive the highest possible rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services,” said Christopher Barstein, Executive Director of Meadow Ridge. “Our associates work tirelessly to ensure Ridge Crest provides a comfortable and safe environment for our patients to recover. This recognition is a compelling testament to that dedication.”

Located on the Meadow Ridge campus, Ridge Crest offers comprehensive services to patients, including short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and respite care. Residents receive personalized and licensed care from an experienced care team, which helps put them at ease and alleviates anxiety about treatment. First-class services and amenities ensure residents recuperate in style and comfort.

In 2022, Ridge Crest was recognized as a Center of Excellence in Wound Management by Wound Care Specialists and was also named one of the best nursing homes in the country by U.S. News & World Report for the fourth year in a row.
