Senior Health and Activities
Immerse yourself in every dimension of wellness.
It’s been said that health is a state of body and wellness is a state of being. At Meadow Ridge, we encourage you to ask yourself: What makes you feel most alive? What brings you joy? What can you do today to improve your health tomorrow? What does wellness mean to you?
Meadow Ridge is a senior living community that supports healthy living and wellness in every dimension. We offer an array of healthy lifestyle programs, amenities and activities designed to empower your personal pursuit of health and wellness. Exercise. Entertainment. Enlightenment. It’s all here.
Our partnership with the NIFS (National Institute for Fitness & Sport) exemplifies our commitment to offering residents a holistic approach to health and wellness. NIFS plays a pivotal role in our life enrichment program through the development of our activity calendars and close involvement with our ongoing offerings as a part of Meadow Ridge fitness.
Each month we publish a new calendar filled with intellectually and physically stimulating opportunities — as many as 60-75 different programs each week. You’ll find diverse lifelong learning opportunities including lectures, seminars and classes available through our partnership with Norwalk Community College. Our activities include classes on how to write a memoir and learning a foreign language,
If you’re a fan of nature and outdoor activities, you’ll find plenty to enjoy on our 136-acre campus, including nature hikes and bird watching made even more interesting thanks to our partnership with the Audubon Society. For fans of sports and physical activities, we offer a fitness center with personal training and group exercise classes, an indoor pool and sauna, and numerous outdoor athletic courts.
Many activities take place right here at Meadow Ridge, and we also make plenty of excursions to cities near and far. Of course, we’re always open to suggestions for new activities and events, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for, be sure to let us know.
Do as much — or as little — as you want.
Freedom, independence and choice are hallmarks of life at Meadow Ridge. We honor and respect your personal preferences for community participation. While many diversions are available in our active and vital community, the choice is always yours.
